This project was an experiment in fabrication workflows with an ABB robotic arm and a hot wire cutter. Going against the norm of using these tools to fabricate a 2.5-dimensional panel, a script was developed that would allow for the fabrication of a full column. The resultant forms, while rough in outward appearance, utilized the potential of the robotic arm for full 3-dimensional fabrication, past what would have been capable with a conventional CNC router.
